I have similar and if you add a $60 6570 you can use it for gaming (perhaps a 7750? might be pushing it with that psu) though I bluddy paid more (it's $500 on newegg)

They sell out of these quick but they can give you a raincheck in store.
 
A 7750 would be a sweet little 720p gaming rig and even 1080p on less demanding games
 
I get 85fps min with a 6570 on LFD2 @ 1366x768. A 7750 should be playable at 1080p.
 
Do you think a poor friend can use this as a PC? All he does is download music.

Of course, and if he's ever interested in other media it will handle 1080p videos and anything else no problem.

I'm tempted to get my dad one of these, I love how cheap a decent PC is these days.
