I tried every number I could find on the label to get a serial number that would report the warranty status of the drive at both IBM and Hitachi support sites with no luck at all. What I can tell you is I bought it in as/is condition and will sell it that way. The drive has a mfg date of Sep-01 and was apparently oem equipment in an Apple laptop cause it's got an Apple HDD Firmware and Logo right on the IBM drive label. It's been fully tested and passed using the Hitachi Drive Fitness Test and formatted to a clean FAT32 partition. LMK if you need anything else.
