Probably the best price-to-performance iron out there if you do anything more than basic hobbyist soldering. I've been eying one of these for a while for my RC aircraft hobby. Though I usually go the way of spending a bit where it matters, then going cheap with the rest at harbor freight or similar (the third arm/helping hands thing is $3 from HF, goes on sale for $2, for example). In the end, I don't do enough soldering to warrant one of these, at least not yet.

But yeah, if you're looking to upgrade from that $10 Radioshack iron, this is the one to get.
