Up for sale is a new pair of the renowned HiFiMAN HE-400 planar headphones. I just received them this week and plugged them for less than an hour but they are too open for me and don't work in my listening environment so it's back to closed cans. For the time I plugged them in though, they were the best sounding thing I've ever heard. These sell for $400 online, so here is your chance for a good deal that includes the velour earpads.

Dat Planar Magnetic!

Supposed to have one of the best bass extension with zero distortion for an opened can. So damn tempting...

I'm just looking for other higher end closed cans. Outside of that, just a sale, thanks!

Too bad my budget is only $300. Will have to save some more. How do these compare to HD650s?

I'm sure there are some other comparisons out there, but I can clearly say it's in a whole another league than any other can I've tried, Senn 595, MS-1, ATH-A900x.

I've got some HD380 Sennheisers a FiiO E-17 plus some cash I'd be willing to trade. Senn's look perfect except the cord but I've got a new straight one coming in the mail hopefully today! I just used the E-17 on vacation it is practically new I hoped I would like it as a DAC as well but it isn't as good as my sound card.
