HP dv2500t Laptop: Purchased in 2007, worked fine until this summer when the screen had trouble powering on with the rest of the system. I'm not sure exactly what is wrong, but it seems like backlight on the LCD is malfunctioning because you can still see the system operating when shining a light directly on the screen.
