any idea if the mine will fit on a AM2? afaik know it should if it works with 939/754, but is there some special exception in this case?

Well it says on here http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/025/scmn1100.html it supports AM2, but that also says revision B. Mine must be the original, but in this picture http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/025/scmn1100-acc.html it shows the same hardware that mine has and it doesn't even list AM2 there. I'm not too familiar with AM2's socket. Do heatsinks that worked on 939/940 work on AM2? If so then my mine would work.
