I see you cut the beam that run over the cpu area, how solid is the case after such mod?

And where is the HD mounted now? Underneath the optical drive?

The case is still very rigid without the beam. The HD cage could still be attached to the side in the original location by adding some screws to fasten it. (For now the HD is located in the 3 1/2 bay.)

I removed the beam to allow use of the Zalman 9500 or Silverstone NT06 for much better cooling performance.
