Future LCD monitors?

What’s the future going to be like for LCD monitors? Are we going to be seeing "the perfect monitor" any time soon? Low ms times with a good image quality? What’s the story with these panels is there any news about new stuff that’s going to hit the market?
 
LCD's are dead, but only thing reasonably priced at moment and widely available. SED will be the only thing considered near perfect (size, multiple resolutions, color, response rate, contrast).
