Gears of War doesn't work on Vista?

Is it just me because i upgraded to vista home premium 64 bit and i cant seem to play gears it tells me it is stopped working and no soultion found but when i installed it on my xp pro it worked fine, anyone know what i can do to play because this is just pissing me off

nahh, i like it and havent had any problem running other games and programs it just wont run gears

Worked fine for me in Vista x64, not sure what the problem could be... I finished the game start to finish and even did some multiplayer.

IT worked for me. Just make sure it is run as admin I guess, and you could put it in XP mode.

Alright i got it to work and run then when i updated the game my computer cant find it now

same here.

I went from x32 ultimate to x64 ultimate and it works perfectly.

Make sure you are starting up the game with startup.exe
in here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries\Startup.exe

Then right click on startup.exe and go into its properties.
Click on the compatibility tab.
then check the box that says 'Run this program as as administrator'
Hit apply.
Then hit Ok.

It should run fine after that.

It worked fine for me in Vista 32 Ultimate. Works better in XP (probably because there is no way to turn on the DX10 AA).

I use the latest Nvidia drivers, and have the administrator mode or whatever disabled.
