I don't know about you guys, but I wasn't able to simply select 1280x1024 in F.E.A.R. so I did a little research and used it myself. This method worked perfectly for me and I hope you get the same results
Step 1.
You'll want to find the settings.cfg file in this directory: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEAR. Open the file with Notepad.
This is what he contents of the folder should look like and I highlighted the file you want.
Step 2.
Find the lines of code that I've selected and input the desired resolution. You can see that I've put in 1280 x 1024.
Step 3.
Finally, so that FEAR doesn't automatically change the resolution back, you'll want to make the settings.cfg file a read only. Right click on it and go to properties. Then simply select "Read-only" and click ok.
Fire it up and enjoy un-interpolated F.E.A.R.
