GF560 Ti or i5 2500k+mobo purchase....

So I'm playing BF3 demo now, and it seems a bit laggy.. Not sure if it's my GF460 (786mb) or i3 540 OC-ed to 4GHz. Microcenter got a sweet-ass deal on the i5 2500k now, and I can get it with a mobo for ~$280. On the other hand GF560 TI is $220~240... Which one would benefit me most in BF3?
 
what resolution are you playing with?

just so you know, a quad core is a must for bf3.

you might achive higher fps if you just get the 560ti but only good for SP, but in MP it will still struggle, fast quad core is a must for MP.

so now you are looking at 2 new purchases if you have the money.

i would get a 2500k over 560ti, just dont use alot of AA, dx11, and ultra settings because you will run out of Vram pretty quick.

this is if MP is your primary concern.


reason why i choose the 2500k over 560ti is because even if you get the new gpu you still wont be able to play at ultra or high settings anyway because of your dual core i3.

so its better to build yourself a smoother mp experience with a quad core, you can get away with the gtx460 with the right graphic settings.
