May I please have advise on next best steps for troubleshooting?
WIndows 7 box.

My PC just recently started showing:
  • black screen
  • white screen
  • green stripes
  • grey stripes

In instances where I am gaming or watching a video, the content keeps going. I am unable to use the keyboard to issue a reset. I have to do a power cycle to restore functionality.

I've reseat the video card and the issue persists.
Is it most likely the GFX card dying? Could it just be the DVI port?
Are there any logs that would indicate what is going on? Event Viewer only shows the power cycle being an unexpected event.

It honestly sounds like the monitor might be having issues. Have you tried a different monitor?

Could be video card. Try some benchmark loops and/or occt.

Another common failure point is the power supply...

Don't have another monitor at the moment to test out.
PSU should be solid but again, don't really have another one to swap out to verify.
What was the free GFX benchmark loop? futuremark?

This I believe rules out the monitor.

Looks like a faulty video card, but you have to test this more.

Try using MSI Afterburner and load/heat up the card to see if this induces locks.

sorry to clarify, the content keeps playing because i hear the video, but the screen itself goes black, green, etc

I, too, suspect the GFX but just curious to get more opinions
