Hi,

Here's my situation; I need to make an image off of a computer, but the floppy controller on the motherboard is fried. I have a legal copy of Ghost 8.0, and it doesn't offer a way for me to either take an image off a machine and place it on CD, nor does it allow me to create a CD that functions as a ghost network boot disc. Has anyone figured out a way to make a ghost CD, that functions in ghost 8.0?

Yes
Use Boot Scriptor, you still need to create a floppy image but you can use the CD to boot off of it instead of using a floppy disk.

Only one example comes to mind: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

Or depending on your computer you could use a USB device instead of a floppy, but that takes a little more work and creativity.

Thank you so much! This is going to make my life significantly easier!

if you have two CD drives in the machine, you could use one to boot Knoppix and the other to burn the image - if that helps.
