gigabyte ga-m55+ s3g ? memory ?

today i bought myself ga m55+ s3g board and i was just wondering if it can take the normal ddr memory because ive not got any ddr2 memory.

if a tryed the normal memory do you think it will break the board or will it be just a bad idea trying
