I know I know - The scaling gets worse as you add cards but I'm curious if adding a third 570 would benefit much on a 5760 x 1080 for BF4 to help with eye candy. The two cards I have are 2.5gb each so adding another 2.5 would be the only way I would consider it. Current power supply is corsair hx1000 with a 2600k @ 4.5ghz - I would be running 8x/8x/16x with the nf200 chip on my mobo.

Looking to sell my 580sc 1.5 for the 570 2.5mb

Depends on the cost really. 80$ or so? Sure. More than that? Well....it becomes a more difficult question as cost rises.

Consider a GTX 780 and even a single 770 would be faster than 570 SLI (2 way), as well.

I doubt 770 is faster than 570 sli. 2.5gb versions at least. If it costs you nothing because your getting rid of the 580 might be worth it. If you could sell all of the cards and get a 780 or 780ti I'd go that route. 500 series will be worth nothing in a few months.

A single 680 is equal to or slightly faster than a GTX 590. A GTX 590 is roughly equal to 570s in SLI, therefore a 770 would be faster based on the fact that 770 is faster than a 680 (which is in turn faster than a 590).

But it all depends on cost. If he can get another 570 for super super SUPER cheap, it could be worth it. If it's more than 100$ I personally would not consider it.

I considered the same thing with my gtx 670s. However the amount of heat they already produced is what deterred me.

If I was in your position, and I could find a cheap 570 I would try it just to play with tri-sli. I dont think its worth putting much money into it, but it would be fun to play around with.

I think seeing that many cards in your rig would have a cool factor to it. I agree though the price would have to be right.
