I need a set of computers speakers for a 2.1 setup used for gaming only. Nothing really loud but clear full sound. I have heard some speakers give you highs and lows but no mids. And shamelessly, looks are important, I want some speakers that look cool on my desk as long as they give me good sound. What do you think of these 3 sets.

bullcrap, the only reason they say the subwoofer isn't very loud is because with the new design, it is not as boomy as the older ones, which is a good thing for music, it should be nice and tight compared to the old Z-3

I have the Z-3 from logitech and many other logitech products. I would say go creative, logitech, or if you wanna splurge, go with klipsh.

the creative inspire t3000 is a basic quality 2.1 system. Price is around $50 if you can find it for less, its a good deal.

also the creative i-trigue 3400 2.1 system is very good. all products from creative and logitech generally look really nice. klipsh, looks kinda lame, but their sounds is superb.

With that budget, I'd buy headphones instead. Actually, with just about any budget, I'd buy headphones instead, come to think of it. :)

I already have a pretty nice pair of Plantronics headphones that I will be using most of the time. I just want some speakers for when I am showing someone else something. I think the Kplisch are a little out of my price range.

if you can wait the logitech z2300's often go on sale at amazon and other retailers. easily logitech's best 2.1 system and comparable to the klipsch 2.1 setup.

I have the Z4's. Not a bad set, but not as bass-y as some. Good overall sound and can get plenty loud for parties and such. The 2300's I would be cautious on... There were apparently two different kinds: one set came with real speaker wires, the other came with RCA plugs. One of them (I think the set with RCA plugs) has a big problem with static. Check it out on Google or something. Plus, the 2300 is really heavy, which might make shipping costs too high for you.
