I've got an older style GF2 GTS (Asus 7700 Deluxe) in a box for the 'rents, and the fan's bearings are starting to go on it. It's got what looks like a Crystal Orb-style variety of cooler on it.
I was wondering what a good replacement for it would be, and checking the possibility that it could possibly be passively cooled as well. Aside from a 3d screensaver (Helios rules
) the vast variety of what it's used for is email and (yes, I know...<shudder>) flash games via AOL, it's not being pushed especially heavily.
It's paired up with an Asrock K7S41GX+ XP 1800+ (Palomino core) and little else that's pushing an older Sparkle FSP 300W PSU.
