Google Phone Plans to be Announced Monday?

The rumor mill is churning away as many people believe that Google will announce their phone plans this Monday, November 5th.

The long-awaited announcement of Google's phone plans will occur earlier than expected, and not in the form previously laid out, says the Wall Street Journal.

I want to get another smart phone so bad and im holding out as long as I can for this phone, it better come out sooner than later.
 
I would much rather see Google design a phone OS than an actual phone, but time will tell. Either way hopefully it mixes things up in the stale phone market (beyond iPhone) whatever it is.

Google OS would be such a pain in the ass. It would be like, one big DRM wrapped around a Linux kernel. Spy on everything you do, read all your emails no matter what provider, stream ads as your wallpaper, start button would be a G-button that says powered by google-analytics, etc etc. I'm definitely not interested in that. People complain about Vista, just imagine how much complaining people would do about G-OS

Someone needs a tinfoil hat and an understanding of the mobile phone market and the motives Google has for penetrating it.
