GTA: SA Stuck in the gym

So I started playing this game again and I ran into a bug that I have seen several times before. When I finish working out I leave the gym and I immediately turn around and go back in.

Anyone know how to get around this or fix it?

I downgraded to Ver 1.1 so I can run it at 1920x1080
 
You parked too close to the gym entrance; you can't spawn where the car is, so the game moves you back slightly into the entrance cone. Solutions include:

Hold the forward button down, starting before the outside world loads.
Jumping madly while exiting.
Suiciding while in the gym (if you have no weapons, punch someone in the gym and let them beat you to death.
Loading your previous save.
 
Yeah, I remember that just being one of SA's annoyances you have to put up with.
