Because for a 470, that is not the world's best price :D.
 
Im assuming this would be an upgrade from a 480 in performance? Or best to jump to the 680?

My gaming rez is 1920x1080

This is a pretty big upgrade from the 480. In fact, if you OC the card you can hit very close to what the 680 pulls according to some leaked reviews.
 
I'd be VERY leery about OCing that card. The VRM setup on the 670s doesn't look hearty at all.
