So I'm looking at adding a second gtx 480, but I value silence sometimes so I'm thinking of going all water.

I already got a Swiftech Apogee GTZ and a MCR-320 QP rad with a MCP350 pump with a XSPC top for the i7 @ 4ghz.

Am I reaching for the stars thinking a single triple rad is going to be enough? My i7 runs at 1.29v at 4ghz so I've been pretty lucky as far as heat being generated by my i7 is concerned.

Any opinions? Should I add a second loop or will this be enough? My gut feeling is not even close.

Thanks for the help guys.

I have an MCR320 and 2x480's @825/2000.

3/8'' tubing, MCP655 w/ 2x MCW80 GPU blocks.

Max temp in kombuster (msi-furmark) is 54C GPU1 and 52C GPU2.

*Edit: did not read that you have GTX 480 SLI. I would still say you could get acceptable temps, but would back off the OC. I do not have my processor in the loop and if I ever planned on WC'ing the i7, I would definitely add a second loop for that alone.

My setup had a 2x120 radiator and a 1x120 radiator cooling a Phenom II x6 1090T at 3.8 ghz, and two GTX 275's. Those were barely enough to keep everything under 62-63 C. Each GTX 480 has nearly double the heat output of the GTX 275's, so you definitely need a radiator upgrade.

I have 2x Swiftech 240 (dual 120mm fan) running my overclocked 920 and single 480 (stock speeds for now).

Under use, GPU sits around 39-40c, CPU at 47-50c.
