GTX 512 or XTX 512 ?

There's a lot on this subject as the thread reference indicates.

Biggest factor is do you care about SLI or CrossFire as you will have to get a motherboard that supports one or the other, unfortunately both is not an options at this time.

Plus, 7900 is about 1 to 2 months out, so if you can wait, I would to see what's coming. On top of that DX10 is on its way, so you might want to wait for that, though there probably won't be DX10 parts until late summer.
 
I would go with the Evga GTX 512 and step up to a 7900 when its released.. :)
