It may be time to upgrade my GTX 260 216. With the specs in my sig for reference, I was looking into the GTX 660 ti 2GB series. My resolution is 1680x1050 and in the future I want to change it out with a 27" 1920x1080, but that won't be anytime soon. As far as which games I play it is mainly Arma 2 and looking into Far Cry 3. I'm not too dead set on which brand, but I do want something that runs cool and quieter than the stock EVGA coolers.

I've been running the MSI 660 (and the 2 MSI 460's before that) for a few months now. It's definitely good enough for those resolutions and it's very quiet. At 1680x1050 it will probably never max out on energy usage so it will never get hot or loud, even in a case with bad airflow.

I think any of the dual fan 660's will be more or less the same. Does the EVGA have a blower, or a single fan? Any of those types of cards will probably be louder, but not necessarily hotter.

Use adaptive Vsync when possible, your card will work less and produce less heat.
