Since there have been a ton of changes I decided to start this new thread, the original thread can be located here

Below are a few lists of the changes that have been made, I am only going to list a few of the changes per type as it would take quite a few posts to cover every single change that has taken place.


The Alpha Test version of the new stats section can be viewed here.

Note: The 12-31-69 bug is related to the the valid range of a timestamp which is typically from Fri, 13 Dec 1901 20:45:54 GMT to Tue, 19 Jan 2038 03:14:07 GMT. Additionally, not all platforms support negative timestamps, therefore the date range may be limited to no earlier than the Unix epoch. This means that e.g. dates prior to Jan 1, 1970 will not work on Windows, some Linux distributions, and a few other operating systems.

Once a fix for this has been added on a global scale I will re-work the routines to display past the current barrier.


I would also like to thank SmokeRngs for his help, he found quite a few of the bugs listed.

  • Registration bug, Stats ID Check was not responding correctly causing the member's stats ID # to register as 0.
  • Team Member Attack / Threats List, everyone was being taken to page 1 of the list instead of the correct page containing their data.
  • [H]orde|Rewards section was in-correctly collapsing the team section of the navbar when 500,000, 1,500,000, Not Qualified, or Dead Members links were selected.

  • Project Members List: fixed a bug that would cause the project section of the navbar to collapse in-correctly when selecting a sort or page link.

I just really wish King would put some real time and effort into the site.

The other night I caught him sleeping which simply has to stop. The next thing you know he will expect us to actually use it as well.All in all pretty presumptuous of him don’t you think? I mean just because you can find every conceivable stat you could ever think of and now even modify your page to make it look your way he would have you believe he did something “special”.

The nerve of this guy, I just don’t get it;):D:p


 
Okay everyone, jump in there and check it out. Make sure to create a login account if you have not done so for the alpha page. It does not run on the same database as the production page so even if you created an account there, it will not have carried over to the alpha page.

Also, a lot of the stuff you see on there will not be accessible until you create an account and login. Trust me, it's worth the time and really nice.

Again, look for any bugs and report them here. King and myself have spent a good amount of time on it lately (obviously a lot more time and effort on King's part) but we're only a couple of people. There is a lot of stuff to be checked out top to bottom and there is no way we can cover it all. There just isn't enough time.

Make sure to take a look at the graphs, they are really nice and King has put a lot of work into them and the number of options you can choose.

If you have any suggestions on any changes to the layout, please feel free to post them here as well as suggestions on anything that you might like to see changed or added.

This has been a huge revamp of the stats and it's looking great. However, this is the team's page and King needs everyone's input.

 
Okay... tried to register, and entered my stats id in the specified field, and I get this...

Same here - I typed my Stats ID: 259553 but when I logged in I saw Stats ID: 0 :confused:
 
There was an issue with the registration, should be fixed now, please try and register again.

good job, my mind is going to have to get used to everything being reversed (left/right hand side). only item i picked up while playing with it, after i go to my user stats, if i click on attack/threats list, it doesn't take me to the page corresponding with my rank. It jumps right to the first page. Seeing flecom's massive stats isn't what i need to motivate me ;)
 
oh man, this is seriously looking pretty friggin awesome...can't wait to see this in its final stage :D

Actually once you've registered you can select where you want the nav bar located from the control panel.

Register now on the alpha site. If you don't, you won't be able to access a lot of the advanced features like being able to change the way everything looks. Also, you won't have your stats handy as part of the menu as it can only do that after you log in.

If you want, go ahead and register on the production site at hardfolding.com. At this time, they do not share the registration info for various reasons and there is no certainty that later on after the alpha redesign goes live that King will be able to merge the registered database from the alpha page into the production page. Right now, the two are completely separate and more than likely will stay that way.

Great :) I will test it and report any bugs.

I have a suggestion everyone would agree : Can you build a extra page with the personnal and team records (best ppu, best ppd, most points in 1 day, most in 1 week, etc...) as a reference ? I guess it's pretty easy to add some queries to compare the current info with the best and replace if the current beat the former best.

This would make your site better than everyone else by a long shot.

As far as a best score type setup, this will take some time to do, it's not something I can just add to the current setup, I'll have to alter the tables adding 35-40 new fields(each), I'll have to re-code the overall processing functions and test it very well before I can replace the current. Once that is complete I will have to design the pages themselves.

I will work on adding it, it will just take a bit of time before it is added to the site.

To get the sorting by PPD, all you have to do is click on the team members link to get to the listing of the team members. Then click on the PPD header/label and it will sort by PPD. You can sort by PPD, Points Overall (the default setting and should be the same as clicking on the rank header), Points Update, WU Overall and WU update by clicking on the header/label for them.

As for the second part, I'm not sure about that as I have never noticed that it doesn't count a full 7 days each time. Each time an update is done, it should be dropping off the oldest one out the 1 week time period which should still give you a full 7 days.

If it's not doing this, could you give an example here? That way we can check on it to see if something is not working correctly.

Thanks thats what I was looking for:)

I checked that and after 10PM update my PPD was 6453 and at 1AM update my PPD dropped to 5698 - I checked my saved fahlog.txt from 4. December so I know that 2x 2653 WUs were sent at 2PM and 6:15PM so it doesnt drop just points from 1AM update but for whole day - same thing happens to team PPD (you can easily see that PPD are lowest after 1AM update and are increasing after each update).
 
another item I found, when you go to your user stats page, logged in or not, it lists members from other teams under your "Top ten threat list". Really freaks me out seeing these folders coming at me with 30k ppd out of nowhere!
 
Another possible bug - When I click to get my signature I get blank page. (using IE6 and Mozilla from 3 different PCs)

Are you sure you're in the team members area and not the project members area?

Your threats list for team members appears empty here

Not a bug, I have that function currently disabled, since the new stats area is in testing phase I did not want people to change their badges and then have to change them again when the final release goes live.

Did you code so when you log in the page with your username/password, there is a cookie to retain the infos until the next login ? It's a pain to always log each time.

Also, in the attack/thread list, I strongly suggest you don't color everyone based on their own ppd but on the defcon colors. Which mean that everyone below me who doesn't pose any thread will be white. Above mine should be colored based on how much time it take to pass them and white for those who are unreachable. Using ppd colors make checking more confusing and the only indication would be the overtake column.

Agreed, I've been messing around with it on and off all day and it's damn near perfect. I really can't seem to find much that's missing....

Just remember to keep an eye out for anything that doesn't seem to be correct and report back here. We know there are some bugs in there as it's inevitable for something this size and there is no way I caught everything.
