Having problems think it's the mobo

I just bought a new system and I'm having problems with it. Basically everythings it set up mobo is mounted correctly, the computer will turn on, the vid card will turn on the cpu fan spins, but there are no beeps + no signal goes to the moniter.

my system:

ASUS "A8V Deluxe Wi-Fi" K8T800
Athlon64 3500+
BFG 6800GT
corsair 1 gig stick pc3200


I get no beep codes the mobo speaker is connected.

Also just wondering what is the definition of grouding, just want to make sure.

Should the computer still go through bios if the ram doesn't work? Or the CPU? Or should it at least beep.



Update: the problem is either faulty RAM or a lack of support for 1 gig sticks on the motherboard. Thanks.

Did you plug in the ATX +12V connector? The square one.
