HD-497: Left earpad louder than right?

I'm not sure if this is a problem with my HD-497 or I'm just imaging it, but I seem to getting louder sound from the left side. Is this the same with other HD-497 owners or am I imagining it?

No, mine are balanced.
You might want to check your software settings, perhaps one of the balance sliders are slightly to left side.

Also make sure the source material isn't the source of the volume discrepincy either.

Tried my older HD-457's and I think it might just be that the HD-497's are much more defined and I can hear a lot more distinct sounds coming from both left and right that give the impression of different sound levels.
