Help with LAN connection please?

Can someone explain to me as of why I have to go to SETTINGS - NETWORK CONNECTIONS - LOCAL AREA CONNECTION - and right click "REPAIR" to make my connection work on every reboot? This is getting really old now, and is there a fix for this? I've reset both my DSL modem, and router, and still does it.

Sounds like a setting somewhere is turned off. What happens if you bring up IE before you repair the connection?

2 things that come to mind off the bat

1. Make sure your network device is enabled.

2. Re-run the network setup wizard from your control panel.

thanks for your help, but your not really understanding my issue I think. Of course my device is ENABLED, it works only after I click repair. And there is no need to run "network setup wizard" to begin with.
