High visibility screens in sunlight

I have been scratching my head trying to find something similar to the motorola f3c series of phones for use with verizon. These phones just have kickass battery and most importantly are perfectly visible in sunlight. Being cheap helps too. Can still buy gsm ones on ebay, etc.

Anybody have any suggestions for something with a similar screen?

you can try the samsung facinate with the super amoled screen. I have the at&t version (captivate) and it does very well in sun light, which is the strength of the super amoled screen

Your choices are pretty much either Samsung's Super AMOLED display or Apple's IPS display.
The SAMOLED has EPIC black levels making everything *pop* in sunlight while
the IPS display has EPIC brightness levels which helps cancel out the sunlight.

That gives you the choice of iPhone 4 or Captivate/Fascinate/Vibrant/Epic 4G/Nexus S.

Disclaimer: I have experience with both and personally went SAMOLED myself.

any current-gen smartphone will have decent readability in sunlight. I have an evo, and maxxing out screen brightness makes it very readable in full sunlight. It's not a monochrome display, and will eat battery, but hey that's the current state of affairs.
