...ooh 32mb cache. The cheapest I've seen the TB drive went for around $250, but 16 mb cache. Nice find, I might just wait another month to see a price drop. thanks.

They bought out IBM awhile ago for hard drives - but kept the series name. I used them when they were IBM - worked great.

Hitachi makes them as well as basically any other manufacturer, so good to great. The HD market has made all competitors basically on the same level in terms of reliability.

I rip my DVDs to my hard drive, and watch them via the Apple TV. I could burn through 10 TB of space without even trying.
