Blah blah budget ram, throw some heatspreaders on them and you got yourself the same ram you would pay $30 more for with fancy heatspreaders but underneath they probably are no different. Unless you buy a high end kit with Elpida Ic's on them this is fine for some moderate overclocking.
It's a single 4gb stick, and at $28 for one stick, that's a pretty good price. For $52 (if you have two addresses to use), you have a dual-channel 8gb setup. A lot better than almost all 2x4gb kits, which are running in the $80-100 range. Agreed that it's not that good for $50 though.
