How do I dim an LCD disply that's already on minimum brightness? It's an ASUS VW246H
 
I like the sunglasses idea { 8^ D

wow, I lowered the contrast to 60% and it worked well. I still have good contrast but the whites are a bit grey now and ... I notice that I can change viewing angle (up/down) and there's not as much change in brightness as when the contrast was set at 80%

Didn't want to lower the contrast since man reviews say to max it out for quality gaming ut I'm glad I lowered it and it still looks just as good.

Another option would be to lower the brightness in software.

I've never used it, and I'm not sure if it just changes the colors of the monitor, or actually adjusts the brightness. Maybe someone who has used it can give their feedback?
 
Flux is great, it adjusts the color/brightness depending on the time of day. Really helps to alleviate the eye strain.


It's a small DL, just see if it helps?
