how does "right click, then shortcut" work?

I'm trying to make a winrar SFX package that asks the users where he wants a program installed, and then makes a shortcut to the .exe on his desktop regardless of where he tells winrar to put the fies. But I don' t know how to go about it in my batch file. anyone have an idea?
