How do I remove the stock cooler off a 6800GT without damaging the card? Will I need to clean the core and ram? If so, what should I use?

It is pretty easy. My technique:
Remove the screws holding the stock cooler and gently pull it off. The core and RAM will probably have thermal pads on it. Remove that by hand and then gently clean the sticky residue with either iso alcohol (90%) or non-acetone fingernail polish remover (my favorite) with either a q-tip or soft cloth to clean the RAM and core.
