How to make gameplay louder?

I'm playing COD MW2, and windows is maxed, as is the game volume and the volume on my powered Insignia speakers.

How can I make the game louder?

I doubt I need new speakers because it will blast music 3X as loud as what I get during gameplay.

Is there a software solution?

Have you tried playing a real game? :)

Anyway, weird. Does it only do this in cod? Other games sound ok?
 
Have you tried usign the volume controls found on the taskbar (right click on volume icon and go to open Volume mixer) ? Newer OS like win7 allow the OS to individually manage audio for separate programs. Perhaps windows has COD:MW2 being set by default to a lower level
 
haha nevermind.

Windows is weird if you have max volume with the headphones in, and then pull them out, it goes back down to volume set prior to using the headphones.
 
definitely take alook at audio outputs and see if there is a general boost option that is not the volume slider, or do you have volume control on your keyboard?
