I have this OEM hsf off of a computer i'm redoing for a friend, and I cleaned out the heat sink and fan (dusty) and I can't figure out how to get the grey TIM off the bottom of the sink, It's like hard, and rubbing alcohol doesn't work. I want to take a screwdriver to it, but that sounds like asking for trouble. Any suggestions?

I found a razorblade the best tool, followed by acetone and a bit of 600 grit wet paper.

acetone is good, but i found if you have access to brakecleaner, it works really well.
