how to separate SSH network and personal network

Some days I telework from home but I'm connected to my work network using SSH. But when I'm connected to "work network" I'm stuck on their network even if I'm just outside of "remote" window. How can I separate these two?

Split tunnel. You only route your remote network through the tunnel. You may be able to do this with static routes on the PC. Tbh I have never used ssh as a "VPN tunnel" so I'm not entirely sure.

They're pushing the default route through the SSH tunnel. Static routes will fix this.
