HTPC Video Card ? FX6200 or 5200 Low profile agp

Does the FX6200 support agp 4x ? What about the FX5200? I'm needing a low profile version that will support AGP 4x (intel 845 chipset EVO D510 SFF) and that has DVI and Svideo out for HTPC use (no gaming whatso ever).


Some of the FX5200 cards state 8x (with no mention of any other speeds) - some of them mention 8x/4x. All the 6200's I look at mention 8x only.

You can use AGP8X cards in a 4X slot, what you can't do is put older 2X cards in a 1.5V only 4x or 8x slot. I ran my 9800pro/xt in an i845 board with only a 4X slot for a while and everything was fine. I would get the 6200 you said you were looking at because it has PureVideo. If you are looking at the ASUS low profile 6200 though, be warned that it doesnt come with a LP bracket so you will need to make one like I did for mine. Hope that helps.
