Protocol 42 is an annual LAN party that is located at the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City, UT. It's October 20th this year.
I've gone three years in a row now and it's something I look forward to every year. I'm even doing a computer overhaul just for the party.
Last year there were around 150 people and the UT2004 tournament they had was insane.
Huge prizes, lots of giveaways... if you're within a few hundred miles, it's well worth the trip.
