...yet I bought an x-fi on an impulse this afternoon. I don't get it, there must be subliminal messaging built into their products, convincing me to buy the next model even though the last one had glaring flaws.

The x-fi will probably cause my pc to randomly speak in tongues, or something, yet I'll leave it in there for some reason.

Just fight the burn and sting of it! If you test one, you'll not take it back. Yes, I got one as a Gift (from my wife) and couldn't being myself to take it back.
