Hi all. I'm building a new computer.
The CPU will be an E6320.
The RAM will be Corsair Dominator 1066 2x1GB.

Initially...
I want to set the FSB to 266.5 (266.5*4=1066).
I want to set the RAM to 533 (533*2=1066).
I want to set the CPU to 1865 (266.5*7=1865.5).

In the end...
I want to set the FSB to 500 (500*4=2000).
I want to set the RAM to 800 (800*2=1600). I guess you need to run unlinked for this, right?
I want to set the CPU to 3500 (500*7=3500).

So my question is... is this possible with this RAM? If it is, what motherboard would go well with it? The only one I remember seeing in a review is the EVGA nForce680i LT SLI. I'm also looking at the Asus P5N32-E SLI (680i) and the Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus (650i Hybrid).

The cooling will be a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme for the CPU and a Thermalright HR-05 for the NB.

Am I on track? Totally off base? Any suggestions?

I have a recommendation... but its not SLI. The Asus Commando P5B motherboard is a good choice, and the northbridge's are hand-picked like the OC'ing videocards sold by XFX, eVGA, and so on. The northbridge was selected based upon its max stable FSB according to my research. Furthermore... regarding the ram, I don't think you are going to be able to run it at 800Mhz... I would be happy with running the ram and cpu 1:1 with tight timings at 500Mhz. I am not sure what the benefits are to running the ram faster than the FSB... maybe someone else has some more information about that.

similar to above except that I would recommend the abit AB9 QuadGT over the Commando.
You aren't going to get DDR2 1600 out of that RAM but 500fsb @ 1:1 will get you DDR2 1000

Good advice, ASUS has been on an extremely bad run lately and is risky. Abit on the other hand did a turn about and is doing great now. I've owned two of the three ROG boards so far (commando and striker) and both are really picky.

If you aren't going to use SLI the p965 chipset is really the best option for high OC's on a stable platform.

Thanks. I have no intention of going SLI... ever. I was just sticking to nVidia because they are all I've ever bought. I never had an Intel chip anyways, let alone an Intel chipset. I'll check around for a thread on the Quad GT.
