I need some help picking out ram

That is good ram for the price range, it should serve you well.
If you can afford to spend a little more look at some ram with 4-4-4 timings.
 
There will be some difference if you plan on doing some overclocking.For a few more dollars you can get the 4 4 4 12 timing in the ram you buy.Rule of thumb when buying ram, is buy the best /fastest you can with what you can afford.
 
The G.skills have a good reputation, and you could very well, find some D9's under the hood of the heat spreader.
