Let me know what you guys think. Title says it all.

I personally dont see much benefit with an upgrade.

What speakers or headphones are you using?
How often do you play games that use EAX?
How often do you listen to high quality* music?

* MP3/WMA/OGG above 192 kbps, WAV, any lossless or Redbook CD audio, etc.

I have both and I really didn't hear much of an increase except using EAX, and of course DVD-Audio can now be played. The audigy 2 is a little less taxing on the CPU, but that is small to say the least

I play some games that use EAX, but really I only play bigger games cause I am in college and dont have time to game a lot. I also dont listen to high quality music on my computer (only mp3s).

I have the logitec z540s ( i think this is the model... the older 4.1 THX certified logitech speakers)

Then no, it's definitely not worth upgrading. I see no reason, given your current situation.

Z-560s but yeah I would agree, no point in wasting your money.
