Hey guys,

Hoping you can help i'm ramming my head against a wall.

My sons computer that i built for him is not powering on at all. In other words i hit the power button nothing at all happens.

From what he tells me it was on one day and then off the next and it wouldn't do anything.

I've changed out the power supply, motherboard, and now the CPU. I've removed ram modules tried different power outlets, have used another computers power on switch....nothing, nada, zilch.

If it were a ram module or a bad hard drive i should still be able to power the thing on and get into the Bios.

I've built about 12 computers and have never had this happen.

Any ideas? I've basically rebuilt the entire computer now and very frustrated.

Take everything apart it might be a screw or some conductivity thats giving it a problem

I had something similar happen and it turned out to be the case's on/off button.

Put only 1x memory stick, 24 pin PSU and 4/8 PSU pin in.

When doing this keep your motherboard outside of the case and manually turn it on

Thanks for the help guys!

Found out it was the front panel of the computer cases USB port was jacked!

Ahh, so it was a case issue after all. Most people don't think about the case being a part of the "system" that can fail.

Glad you got it figured out.
