Installing SSD and 2 WD 500GB RAID 0 on ASUS Crosshair Formula V?

Ok, hopefully a quick question here. I have done some searching here and on other forums, but most are directed to the Intel mb's. The AMD based boards may be the same, but I am just trying to be sure.
I have a SSD drive that I intend to use for the OS and a few programs. The two WD 500GB will be set to RAID 0.
On the Crosshair mb, there are 6 SATA ports controlled by the southbridge. As per the manual I have ports 5/6 set as IDE and have connected my two SATA dvd drives. Ports 1-4 can be set as AHCI or RAID. From reading about the Intel boards, it seem's that the setting should be set to RAID. Is this the same on this AMD mb?
It seems as thought though the SSD drive will still function as AHCI since it is not assigned to a RAID array.
Do I have this all straight?

As long as the WD drives are not the 5400RPM Green model, you should be golden.
