I haven't spent too much time with this, but I thought I would throw out a quick question while I'm still at work. During the installation process I get to the third screen as seen on this webpage here. The "working" hourglass dissapears after a few moment and my computer just seems to sit idle doing nothing. Does this stage of the process usually take a few minutes to go through?

Specs:
Asus P5K-E
Intel Q6600
evga 8800 GT
Creative fatal1ty
2x2GB G.Skill DDR800
2x320GB Seagate SATA Barracudas
Samsung S203B (SATA)

Thanks!

I don't know exactly if this will fix your problem, but I've read in other places that trying to install Vista while you have more than 1 HD in your system, can cause it to install across all of them. I am not 100% positive on this, but what I did was to just put the 1 HD in that I was installing Vista on, then when everything was done and setup, I put my other hard drives in.

2 hard drives in mine and 3 partitions on the first drive. Installed Vista x64 on one of the logical partitions on the first drive without a hiccup or removing any drives.
