I'm trying to install XP Pro to an Intel RAID controller.
I have a USB floppy drive.
I press F6 when prompted and *successfully* choose the driver from the floppy, however later after formatting and while copying core XP files it asks for the floppy again but when I press enter to confirm the disk is in the A: drive nothing happens. It does NOT try to access the disk.

Any ideas?

As far as I know, there are only three USB floppy drives that XP fully recognizes during the install process. Unfortunately, it seems like you'd have three other options:

1. nLite the drivers into your install disc
2. switch to Vista, which either wouldn't need extra drivers, or allow you to load them from a USB flash drive
3. ditch the RAID option and use standard drives.

If that works, then it should eliminate the possibility of your floppy drive being unsupported.
