Internet bandwidth monitoring across whole network?

We've had a large spike in bandwidth usage over the past couple of months and I'm trying to find some software that will report bandwidth statistics for each workstation in our network.

Is there a good solution that doesn't require software to be installed on each machine?

Are you using a managed switch? If so, you should be able to hook to a monitor port and dump the data you need.

You can then run Snort (or a similar tool) and do analysis.
