Ive been a long time fan of HardOCP... however, I read their review of the Ultra PSU and how much it sucked ass...

And I've also noticed that for the last few days, there's been a been a banner ad in the middle of the homepage advertising................................... ULTRA PSU!

I understand that they gotta pay the bills, but where do you draw the line? They fully NOT recommend the PSU in their review, which is no longer on the homepage, yet aren't they kind of endorsing it by having an ad for it?

Which Ultra PSU review are you refering to? The recent X2 750W?

And was this Ultra Ad for the exact same Ultra PSU?

Not all Ultra PSUs are crap. Remember that HardOCP has reviewed 6 Ultra PSUs so far. The X3 1000W, X3 1600W and X-Pro 750W all got very good reviews. The other three were bad.
 
Right. The Ultra in the ad is not the same Ultra in the review. The Ultra in the ad was actually reviewed very well here. Quite a few of them were.

Should a PSU not be reviewed if it sucks and it's from an advertiser?

Should they drop an advertiser because that advertiser makes one product out of several that blatently sucks?
