Haven't seen anything on if either ATI or NVidia support this yet. Did either of them finally come around?

bump....3 years later?
surely soon?
So stupid. Probably the only time I would ever go to Eyefinity. Portrait monitors are so damn handy for actual work.

What? Are you asking for 20" monitors, now?
What you're really trying to accomplish with a 20-30-20 display is 4960x1600, broken up by two bezels. Wouldn't you rather have one of the new 5K displays, which are 5120x2800 with no bezels?
Compare the costs, my child.
More like the 5K monitor being no less than $ 2k for the foreseeable future, and a decent PLP setup would cost half of that.
Not to mention, everybody says 'but bezels!' To multi-monitor gaming, but you still have bezels in single monitor gaming, it's just that in multi-monitor you get MORE GAME after the bezels, with a single monitor, the game stops at the bezels. The 20-30-20 PLP setup would have a wider aspect, giving you a pinch more peripheral vision over a standard 16-9 setup. That extra pinch of vision does wonders to immersion.
That's all very interesting, but you can't game on 20-30-20, my child.

yes you can, as mentioned above in softh or windowed mode
and the 4K monitors still suck ass in frequency, only 30 Hz at full resolution as of yet, and input lag
The thing is that I am done with AMD until they improve their hardware performance and multi-GPU drivers stability and performance. You are closer than ever to getting your PLP support on AMD
Maybe I'm missing something here but why not just get a 34" 1440p 21:9 monitor and not have to fuck with literally anything?
It's all about the cost and planning. Yes, if money were no issue, people could just grab a $3k monitor and call it good, but if you want to get into eyefinity and have two 900p monitors, and instead of trying to find a third or buy three new monitors, you can buy one nice Korean panel 1440p monitor and save a ton of money using the two older panels in portrait mode as peripheral monitors.
But this isn't an option, that is why people are asking for it. Plus, it just looks plain sexy. Disable eyfinity mode to have two documents + full screen video, enable it for surround gaming.
