Is this physically possible? i am referring to some of intel's mobos (particullarly http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/e7221/?iid=search& ). I read on a forum of a guy cutting a plastic bridge in the 8x slot that prevents the 16x card from fitting. he then placed the 16x card in the 8x slot and claimed it booted and the card did in fact work with games. looking at the comparisons of an 8x slot and a 16x slot (ref: 8x and 16x ). so my question is is this possible?
